The spike-blade and socket are made in one piece, the socket being stamped ‘No4 MK II’ with the ‘LB’ mark indicating manufacture by Crown Corporation Small Arms Ltd of Long Branch, Ontario, Canada between 1942-44. Bowie-bladed socket bayonet No.9 Mk 1 by the Royal Small Arms Factory in Enfield and marked on the socket with their combined DE mark and dated 1950. Lovely blued socket with an excellent clean bright blade. The bayonet has its original steel undamaged scabbard and blackened webbing frog.

WW2 British Empire Medal for Meritorious Service in original Red-card Titled Box.

Wartime awarded BEM named to 'James A.Carter' on original pin-back ribbon in its original red titled box. The box contains a hand-written card stating "Derek & Meriel's Grandpa Carter medal for risking his life in the Second W. War. Mentioned in Honours List in the reign George VI"

Third Reich : Italian-German Afrika Medal.

Principally an Italian medal which when awarded to German personnel, was known as the Commemorative Medal for the Italian-German Campaign in Afrika. ( Erinnerungsmedaille für den italienisch-deutschen Feldzug in Afrika.).

Third Reich : SA Military Sports Badge in Silver (SA-Sportabzeichen in Silber).

Silvered-bronze pin-back award badge, stamped on the reverse of the swastika with the makers name 'W.Redo, Saarlautern' and on the reverse of the sword with 'Eigentum d. Obersten SA Führung' (Property of the Senior SA Leadership).
Some wear to the silver finish on the sword but nothing too drastic. The pin is magnetic. Generally good condition.  read more
