WW1-era cap-badge which has had the original slider fixing on the reverse replaced by a brooch-pin fixing. This was common practice during WW1 as badges were easily lost with slider fixings. It also allowed the badge to be worn as a sweetheart brooch.

Scottish Horse Regimental Association (King's crown) Enameled Membership Lapel-badge.
Multi-coloured enamel gilt-metal King's crown membership badge of the Association. It is 31mm high. The reverse has a buttonhole fixing and is stamped with a low membership serial number '361'.
The Scottish Horse was a yeomanry regiment raised in 1900 for service in the Boer War.
