The Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiment (RGBW) pre-2003 pattern Cap-badge.

Large heavy chrome and gilt riveted badge (measuring 40mm square) with slider fixing on the reverse. The regiment was formed in 1994 by the amalgamation of the Gloucestershire Regiment and the Duke of Edinburgh's Royal Regiment (Berkshire and Wiltshire). In 2007, the regiment itself was amalgamated with the Devonshire & Dorset Regiment, the Royal Green Jackets and The Light Infantry to form a new large regiment called The Rifles. This initial heavy version of the RGBW cap-badge was replaced in 2003 by a smaller, anodised, lighter version.
The badge has been worn but is in very good condition.
