Beautiful black moiré silk ribbon, extra long full length with gold wire woven title "Royal Yacht" featuring a woven Queen's crown between the two words. Excellent condition.
Her Majesty's Royal Yacht "Britannia" is the former royal yacht of Queen Elizabeth II. She was launched in 1953 and was in the Queen's service from 1954 until 1997 when the Queen said a tearful farewell to her.. During her 43-year career, the yacht travelled more than one million nautical miles around the world to more than 600 ports in 135 countries. The vessel is now retired from royal service and is permanently berthed at Ocean Terminal, Leith in Edinburgh, Scotland, where it is a visitor attraction with over 300,000 visits each year.
