HMS Thornham was a Ham-class minesweeper (M2793) commissioned in 1958 and scrapped in 1985. For a while she was used by Aberdeen University Naval Unit. The ships bell was given to Thornham Village Church where it is rung each year to signal the two minutes silence on Remembrance Sunday.  read more

France : Model 1874 Gras Bayonet with Scabbard.

An exceptionally good, clean example with all original finish to the scabbard intact, no dents or damage anywhere and with an excellent blade. No matching numbers between scabbard and bayonet. This one would still be hard to upgrade.
The back of the blade is engraved in script as usual with the makers details and date - "Mre d'Armes de Tulle, Fevrier 1877"
