Imperial : German S98/05 nA Bayonet with Scabbard.

Standard S98/05 'Butcher' bayonet with flash-guard and steel scabbard. The bayonet is marked on the ricasso 'Simson & Co. Suhl' and is dated 1915. The blade has been used and sharpened. The scabbard is in excellent condition with no dents but has been very nicely re-blued.

Navy-blue wool sailors jumper with two-button cuffs. The buttons appear to be of compressed fibre. The only insignia is a BEVo-woven Kriegsmarine breast-eagle. The jumper has the separate blue collar with internal bib fittings with all securing tapes and the item is complete with the scarce correctly knotted silk scarf fitted under the collar.. Silver-plated hollow-stamped brass with a vertical pin and hook fixing on the reverse. The reverse retains its original complete matt silver finish whilst the obverse has some minor polishing wear to the highlights. No makers marks.  read more
