Full-length ribbon with gold wire woven ship's name in excellent condition.
HMS Thornham was a Ham-class minesweeper (M2793) commissioned in 1958 and scrapped in 1985. For a while she was used by Aberdeen University Naval Unit. The ships bell was given to Thornham Village Church where it is rung each year to signal the two minutes silence on Remembrance Sunday.
