Border Rifle Volunteers Victorian Waist-belt Two-part Buckle.

Two-part buckle consisting of a circlet bearing "Border Rifle Volunteers " with the centre-piece bearing a Victorian crown surmounted by a lion. The reverse is plain with no makers marks.. The finish to the buckle is well worn and stained whilst all details are present and clear. Scarce buckle.  read more

Silver-plated King's crown badge with lugs & split-pin fixing on the reverse. Nice detailed striking.
The 24th Lancers was a cavalry regiment that only existed from late 1940 to mid-1944. It was assigned to the 8th Armoured Brigade and only fought during the Invasion of Normandy after landing on D-Day +1. WW2 Set of Medal-ribbon Bars.

Three rows of ribbons from a WW2 long-serving Territorial Army officer who served with the 8th Army and won a Military Cross. The ribbons include a figure '8' on the Africa Star ribbon, an MiD oakleaf on the War Medal plus a rosette on the Territorial Decoration ribbon.
