France : WW1 Lebel M1886 / 16 Epee Bayonet with Scabbard.

A good condition, original WW1 French 1886/16 Lebel Bayonet with undamaged alloy hilt and working spring-catch. The bayonet has no pitting or rust, only minor age staining to the perfectly straight cruciform blade. The steel scabbard is in good condition with age wear and staining only to the original blued finish. Overall a decent honest bayonet.

Later he participated in the air landings and capture of Crete where he was eventually military commander.
