Full-length ribbon with gold wire woven ship's name which has minimal age-darkening / tarnish to a small area of lettering otherwise excellent condition..
HMS Falmouth was a Rothesay-class "Improved Type 12" anti-submarine frigate built for the Royal Navy during the 1950s. She took part in the Third Cod War in 1976, ramming the Icelandic gunboat V/s Týr. Both ships suffered considerable damage. She was finally decommissioned in 1984 and sold for scrap in 1989.
