World War 1 folding trench-saw dated 1917 complete with accessories in 1916 dated leather case, The linked flexible saw is 115cms long with brass eyelets at either end for the wooden handles. The eyelets are stamped with the War Department broad-arrow sign and the maker's mark "Francis Wood & Son, Sheffield, 1917". The saw is also stamped with the "Patent No 23522 /14.

Matched opposite facing pair of machine-embroidered shoulder-flashes for the Buckinghamshire detachment of the 101st Medium Regiment Workshops, REME. The patches are uniform-removed but are in very good condition with paper backing intact. They appear to be quite old.
A similar design badge was also worn by the Buckinghamshire Army Cadet Force. read more
