WW2 "Fire Guard" reversible to "SFP" (Supplementary / Street Fire Party) Printed Armband.
Navy-blue / black armband with yellow printed "Fire Guard". The armband can be turned inside out to reveal red printed "SFP" inside. The civilian Fire Guards were replaced in late 1940 by Supplementary Fire Parties who were subsequently renamed Street Fire Parties. These were all to assist the Fire, Police and ARP services during the air-raids / Blitz.. Excellent condition and quite scarce. read more

Royal Navy Ship's Cap-tally "HMS Mohawk".
Full-length ribbon with gold wire woven ship's name which has minor age-darkening / tarnish to some of the lettering otherwise excellent condition.
In World War 2 HMS Mohawk was a Tribal Class destroyer built in 1938 but sunk in 1941 by an Italian submarine. In the 1960s, the eighth British warship to bear the name was built as a Type 81 frigate. She was eventually scrapped in 1983. read more

HMS Kent was a wartime County-class heavy cruiser which was decommissioned in 1948. The latest vessel is the twelfth ship to bear the name and is a Type-23 Duke-class frigate. She was launched in 1998. read more

Card commemorating 25 year-old Gefreiter Jakob Wagner who was killed in heavy fighting on the Russian Front on 26th August 1943. This was at the very start of the Battle of The Dnieper (26th Aug - 23rd Dec 1943) which was the massive Soviet offensive which followed the failure earlier in the year of the German Operation Citadel.
