Nice photo of this NCO candidate wearing his service-tunic with first-pattern breast-eagle and shooting-cord. He wears no ribbons or decorations and it can be assumed that the photo is pre-war. The reverse is plain apart from the mark of where the photo was once stuck in an album.

A photo-postcard published by Eugène Desaix, a Belgian photographer who also had premises in France and operated up until 1930. This card shows a German field-gun on display in the Place de la Station in Ypres.
