Third Reich : Wehrmacht M40 Camouflaged Steel Helmet complete with "bread-bag" strap.

Helmet is painted with a heavy coat of sand / yellow camouflage paint possibly for use in N.Africa. The helmet still has its original khaki webbing 'bread-bag' strap in place for securing camouflage. (I was told some years ago that this strap is perhaps French). The sand paint is about 98% intact with only very minor wear. Black and yellow design on purple rectangular patch measuring 57mm x 49mm. Backed with red felt. It appears to have had press-studs attached and has been worn but is in excellent condition.  read more

Bundesrepublik : Polizei Heavy-duty Combat-style 'Y' Straps (Belt Support Straps).

These straps closely resemble Wehrmacht leather 'Y' straps but I consider them to be early post-war. They are complete with all grey-alloy fittings including spring-clip hooks on the front straps each of which has a D-ring belt loop attached. These front hooks bear the faint 'oLc' makers logo of Overhoff & Co, Lüdenscheid. The inside top of the back-strap is stamped 'Polizei-Schl-H****E'. Exc...  read more

Third Reich : Wehrmacht Parade / Cavalry 'Y' Straps (Belt Support Straps).

Nice later-war straps complete with all three adjustable grey alloy hooks, the one on the back-strap having a pebbled leather cover. The inside of the back-strap is stamped '0/0250/0718'. Overall very good condition.  read more
