Stamped silver metal rectangular pin-back "tinnie-type" badge showing a kitted-out helmeted soldier holding a flag overlooking the twin towers of the Frauenkirche in Munich. The badge carries an abbreviated text referring to the 40th Anniversary celebration of the establishment of the War & Veterans Association in Haidhausen, Munich and is dated 1928.

Pressed and gilded tin with a stick-pin fitting on the reverse for wear in civilian dress. The badge consists of an artillery piece standing over a separately applied silvered plaque bearing "Artillerie". A flaming bomb is suspended beneath. Total height 63mm. On the reverse, the pin-plate is stamped "Vaterländ. / Fahnenfabr./ Köln Rh." Near mint condition.

Silver-grey alloy medallion (35mm wide) sent to the Hessian troops as a gesture of greetings and best wishes from Grand Duchess Eleonore of Hesse and her husband Duke Ernst Ludwig, Christmas 1916. The medallion has a loop for suspension.
