Short-pattern (20cm long blade) Luftwaffe dress bayonet with black-painted scabbard and brown leather dress / walking-out frog. Blade is the carbine- type with narrow fuller. Imperial ; WW1 German Trench Knife (Kampfmesser).

Typical WW1 German trench fighting knife with black-painted steel scabbard. The sharp-pointed blade is 14.8cms long and total length of the knife is just over 25cms. Overall length in the scabbard is 27.5cms. The tang has grooved (9 grooves) dark wooden slab grips riveted in place either side together with a curled quillon. Third Reich : SA-Wehrmannschaften Belt-buckle.

Cast aluminium buckle introduced in 1943 for the SA-Wehrmannschaften or Home-guard. The reverse is stamped 'RZM M 4/ 22' indicating manufacture by the only producer of these buckles, C.T.Dicke of Lüdenscheid. A scarce buckle in excellent condition.  read more

BRD : Post-war Schülerlotsendienst Verkehrswacht Belt-buckle.

Aluminium pebbled buckle with central insert fixed with four tabs. The lettering and cross are highlighted in green. These buckles have often been identified in reference works as being wartime. They are however for the School Traffic Safety Patrols (Schülerlotsendienst Verkehrswacht) which were an independent post-war organization not connected to the Red Cross.
