Large dark-blue flag with all the lettering and badge separately stitched in place. The flag measures 1.98mtrs x 1.35mtrs and is complete with its rope halyard. It is in excellent condition having also come out of the long-lost QM stores from which I acquired the stock..
The 125th (Northumbrian) Anti-Tank Regiment, Royal Artillery (TA) was a Territorial Army unit formed in Sunderland in 1939. After converting to an anti-tank role in 1940, the regiment was deployed to Singapore, where its men fought as infantry and were captured by the Japanese in February 1942. Almost 200 members of the Regiment died as Prisoners of War in Japanese hands in the three and a half years following their capture..
