WW2 gold-plated pinback fouled anchor with the letters 'U.S,N' each separately superimposed in Sterling silver. The reverse has a working brooch-pin with a safety-catch on the hook. The reverse of the anchor is stamped just below the hinge with 'Sterling' and details of gold content.. Has been worn but remains in very good condition.
