5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards Queen's crown Staybrite Cap-badge.

Silver anodised-aluminium 'VDG' Queen's crown cap-badge with slider fixing on the reverse. Very good condition.
The 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards was a cavalry regiment formed in 1922 by the amalgamation of the 5th Dragoon Guards (Princess Charlotte of Wales's) and the 6th (Inniskilling) Dragoons. It served throughout World War 2 and the Korean War but In August 1992, as part of the 'Options for Change' defence review, the regiment was amalgamated with the 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards to form the Royal Dragoon Guards.
