Third Reich : Silk Funeral Sash from the Wolfsberg Ladies Choir, 13th March 1938., 13 March

High quality red moire silk sash, (1.36mtrs long including fringe x 17cms wide) with separately attached multi-piece white silk disc and black swastika. The sash is beautifully embroidered in gold wire "Vom Wolfsberger Frauenchor 18 März 1938". The sash is backed with white satin-like material which has age staining. The bottom, end has a 5cm long gold fringe while the top end has a narrow sleeve..
Very good condition with no holes or wear but there are two or three minor small black (ink ?) stains to the red field..
of interest is that Wolfsberg is east of Hannover in Northern Germany and was the HQ of the Voklswagen company. The date 13 March 1938 is that of the Austrian Anschluss
