Gold-wire hand-embroidered traditional eagle armbadge, 55mm dia. worn on the sleeve of No.2 Service-dress.
The wearing of the eagle originates from the Peninsular War when the forerunners of the regiment captured the Eagle of the French 62nd Infantry Regiment of the Line at the 1812 Battle of Salamanca.
