Austria : Medal Commemorating the Centenary of the Edict of Toleration of 1781.

The Edict of Toleration was a law passed in 1781 by the Holy Roman Emperor Joseph II to grant religious freedom to non-Catholic Christians in the Habsburg Empire. The edict also removed civil restrictions that had previously been imposed on these groups.
Gilt medal, 30mm dia with the bust of Emperor Joseph II with the title above "Kaiser Joseph II". The reverse has nine lines of script - "Zur erinnerung an die 100 Jährige Feier der Ertheilung des Toleranz Edictes am 18 Oktober 1781"
All bright gilt finish present and overall excellent condition.
