Guernsey : Pendant / Medallion Commemorating the May 9th 1945 Liberation from German Occupation with Original Box.

Gilt medal suspended from decorative brooch-bar. On the obverse is the Guernsey shield with "States of Guernsey" and on the reverse the inscription "Liberation from German Occupation, May 9th 1945". The medal is still wrapped in its original tissue and contained in its blue card box which bears the remains of what was the Guernsey 1/2p tax-stamp. The box has been reinforced internally to maintain its integrity.. Overall very good condition.
