Nice original German Imperial Prussian enlisted ranks' field-grey cloth "Krätzchen" with bright red cap-band and piping around the crown. The front has the national red/white/black cockade above the Prussian black & white state cockade. There is some discolouration and paint-loss to the white on the national cockade. Silver-grey metal with enamel green flag bearing the Polish military cap-badge. The reverse has a single prong and clutch fastener.
Army sub-units can win the green flag for outstanding results in training and discipline. Members of that unit are then entitled to wear this badge on their uniforms.

USSR : Soviet Red Army Guards Insignia.

Gilded brass/bronze and enamel badge with screw fixing on the reverse. Both the badge reverse and the securing nut are stamped with the 'Victory' mark and the badge probably dates from the 1970s.
Wartime examples had no fringe on the bottom edge of the 'Guards' flag whilst later versions in the 1980s tended to be made of aluminium.
