Nice original German Imperial Prussian enlisted ranks' field-grey cloth "Krätzchen" with bright red cap-band and piping around the crown. USSR : Soviet Red Army Guards Insignia.
Gilded brass/bronze and enamel badge with screw fixing on the reverse. Both the badge reverse and the securing nut are stamped with the 'Victory' mark and the badge probably dates from the 1970s.
Wartime examples had no fringe on the bottom edge of the 'Guards' flag whilst later versions in the 1980s tended to be made of aluminium.
