WW2 Lee-Enfield No.4 Mark III Spike Bayonet with Scabbard, frog, etc.

This is a scarce late WWII British Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.III spike bayonet (commonly referred to as a 'pigsticker' ) with steel scabbard, webbing frog and leather securing strap. The MKIII was the final, and crudest of the No. 4 spike bayonets. Only 196,200 of this type were ever produced, all by Joseph Lucas Ltd, of Birmingham under the makers code M158. This code is stamped into the socket followed by a War Department Broad Arrow acceptance stamp. The scabbard is the usual steel type. The '37 pattern webbing frog is stamped to show it was made by S Nonan Ltd of Oldham in 1943. The bayonet also has the rarely seen leather & brass frog-stud retaining strap. All in excellent condition.
