Belgium : Silver Cross of Merit of the Diocese of Bruges

Silvered bronze straight-armed cross bearing the Bruges shield on the obverse and on the flat reverse the legend "Diocesis Brugensis Bene Merenti". Complete with original red and white pin-back ribbon. Near mint condition.
This award was available in three classes, bronze, silver & gilt.and was awarded by the Pope to Roman Catholics who had rendered particularly valuable service to the community.
