Pressed silvered-tin pin-back badge showing the German eagle on a wreathed shield surmounted by an Imperial crown. The badge has two streamer-ribbons in black / white / red each with a silvered metal fringe. Printed on the ribbons is "Els-Lothr. Krg.-Ld.-Ver. / Krg.-Ver. Weissenburg". On the reverse is a securing-plate for the pin on which the makers details are shown as 'J.Hoffmann, Strassbourg i/E' plus 'Gesetzlich Geschutzt.'
