Gilt=brass circular badge (30mm dia) showing a helmeted soldiers head on a red and white enemelled background surrounded by the wording "Wzorowy Podchorazy".. The reverse has a single central screw-post with a securing-nut bearing "Mennica Panstwowa".
This badge was awarded to deserving trainee officers from 1982 until 1999. It was worn on the left breast-pocket.
