Full-length ribbon with gold wire woven ship's name which has minor age-darkening / tarnish to some of the lettering otherwise excellent condition.
In World War 2 HMS Mohawk was a Tribal Class destroyer built in 1938 but sunk in 1941 by an Italian submarine. In the 1960s, the eighth British warship to bear the name was built as a Type 81 frigate. She was eventually scrapped in 1983.
