First World War period gilded-brass and enamel lapel-badge for members of the Central Association of The Volunteer Training Corps. Overall height 38mm. The centre depicts the war goddess Bellona rivetted onto a green enamel background surrounded by an oval wreath bearing 'Central Association' with 'VTC at the base. The reverse has a buttonhole fixing and maker's details 'Fattorini & Sons Bradford' plus 'Reg'd 644266', a design patented and registered in 1915. Excellent condition,
