HMS Nelson together with HMS Rodney were the two battleships of the Nelson Class built for the Royal Navy in the 1920s and were the first battleships built to meet the limitations of the Washington Naval Treaty of 1922.
The Nelson was scrapped in 1949 though there is now a shore establishment bearing the HMS Nelson name in Portsmouth.
