Gilt and enamel pin-back unit distinctive as worn on a pocket-fob. The reverse bears the maker's details 'Drago-Paris'.
This unit, nick-named The Porpoises, has come and gone several times since its foundation in 1831 but has existed in its current form since 1955.
At the base of the badge is the unit motto " Croche et tient" (Hook and hold}..
Very good condition with no enamel damage.
