BRD : West German Bergbau (Miners) "Schachthut" Shako, c.1970/80s.

Straight sided fez-like circular black cloth traditional ceremonial hat with a wide gold-braid border around the top edge and a narrow braid around the bottom.
The front has a large gilt metal Bergbau insignia and on the side a Bergbau button. There is a slot on the top edge for fitting a feather 'Busch' The inside is lined with brown fabric with a brown-leather sweatband. There are no makers details. Excellent condition.
