Third Reich : Wehrmacht / Heer (Army) Kavallerie Waffenrock for a Gefreiter .

Beautiful pre-war cavalry Gefreiter's Waffenrock (parade / walking-out tunic) in fine field-grey with dark-green collar and cuffs all piped in deep yellow Waffenfarbe. Yellow-backed silver-wire collar and cuff patches with the front flap, collar, cuffs, epaulettes and rear vent all piped. All original silver pebbled buttons are present with original stitching. Silver wire BeVO breast eagle and Gefreiter's arm-chevron with original stitching. There is a Four-year service ribbon bar on the left breast. Fully lined and overall in excellent condition with good original nap to the cloth. The epaulettes show the outline of embroidered '15' for the 15th Kavallerie Regiment. These numerals would have been removed at the start of the war in accordance with security regulations. No makers label or name present.
This jacket has been in my own personal collection since July 1983.
