Very nice shaped early infantry cap with ribbed field-grey top piped in infantry white Waffenfarbe with dark-green white-piped cap-band. Alloy insignia and black leather chinstrap held in place by two black buttons. The Vulkanfiber visor has some very fine-line crazing. Inside is lined with an orange-brown waterproof fabric and a complete brown leather sweatband. There is no sweatshield present. Has seen service but is a real quality cap. No makers mark. At one place on the underside of the sweatband there is a 'too faint to read' name / mark. Excellent condition..
