Light Infantry Serjeant PTI Rank Arm-badge.
Machine embroidered in rifle-green on maize; two-part arm-badge consisting of chevrons and crossed swords.
The Light Infantry came into being in 1968 with the amalgamation of several county light infantry regiments and consisted at one time of eight battalions. They wore the distinctive green on maize insignia. The Light Infantry eventually became part of The Rifles in 2007 and these green on maize badges became obsolete. These badges came from redundant QM stocks.
