Third Reich : Kriegsmarine Officer's Dress-belt.

50mm wide ribbed aluminium-wire brocade officer's dress belt with gilt-plated zinc fittings complete with sliders, dagger-suspension eyelets, etc. The belt is lined internally with navy-blue cloth which shows no signs of mothing and is in excellent condition. Overall the belt is in very good condition though there is some fading of the gilt metal finish. The reverse of the buckle bears the FLL manufacturer's logo of Friedrich Linden of Lüdenscheid.
This belt has been in my personal collection since February 1966 and when I received it from the veteran, a complete set of Kriegsmarine war badges was pinned to the braid and there are some minor signs of this still visible on the outer braid surface.
