WW2 Flag of The Durham Light Infantry Royal Artillery Units.

Wartime flag of the Durham Light Infantry Artillery units. The hoist end is red with the Royal Artillery King's crown badge whilst the fly end is blue with a red Light Infantry King's crown bugle badge. The flag has obviously seen considerable service and the fly end has been repaired at some time in its service life. The flag retains its halyard within a canvas sleeve which is stamped with '2 Yd' obviously indicating the original 6' length of the flag.
Overall flag dimensions are 1.62mtrs x .90mtrs.
Bearing in mind the original repair, the flag is generally in very good condition.
(This flag was possibly in use with 463 (7 D.L.I.) L.A.A./S.L. Regiment, R.A. (T.A.) which was originally based in Sunderland).
